Birchbox X Anthropologie, April 2020 || Unboxing & Review

Hello everyone,

I hope all of you are doing good and safe! I just received my Birchbox for this month yesterday, which I thought I won’t get because of this pandemic. Anyway, this month they have collaborated with the American clothing brand Anthropologie. So let’s see what’s inside my Birch Box April 2020, one of a kind!

About Birchbox X Anthropologie, April 2020:

Look at this box, isn’t it gorgeous? I love the design of this box 😍. It makes for a beautiful backdrop for tiny product photo-shoots as well!

This month we received 5 beauty treats – two full-size and three sample sized products as always! The products came nicely packed inside the box with a product-details leaflet and a gift voucher (20% off) from the partner brand Anthropologie.

Coming to the products-

KNDR Beauty, Mood Balm in Positivity Pink:

As you may know, every month Birchbox gives you an option to select your favourite shade/colour/variety from one of the next month’s full-sized products. So, I selected this pink coloured lip balm for my lips as the other shade Sorbet Serenity (coral colour) will suit fair skin tones than medium-dark (mine) skin tone.

They say the colour-shifting formula adjusts to your unique pH, creating the perfect hue for you whilst simultaneously moisturizing, of course!

The lip balm colour is geared towards purple shade but when I swatched it multiple times on my hand, the colour appeared light pink. I haven’t used it on my lips yet!

Price & Qty: GBP 13 (Full size)

Huygens Infusion Blanche Purifying Face Wash (Sample Size):

Another new brand to try out, wow! This organic purifying face wash with tea tree extract helps to balance the sebum production, purify and revitalize stressed skin. Gentle sulphate-free foam, bright complexion, neat skin.

Brushworks, Silicone Cleansing Pad (Full Size):

Oh no! This month Birchbox has sent this facial silicone cleansing pad to me. I have already a couple of cleansing tools that I don’t use as I have super sensitive skin. I think I am going to gift this one to my sister who will love it for sure.

Brushworks facial silicone cleansing pads have tiny bristles that invigorate the skin & effectively cleanse pores, whilst exfoliating and softening your skin. Gently massaging the face, helping to deliver deep cleansing results, ideal for the removal of stubborn makeup and skin impurities.

Price: GBP 4.99 (Full size)

THIS WORKS Deep Sleep Pillow Spray:

Now, this is by far the best product I have received in this month’s box. WHY? Because I have insomnia, sleeping issues! I am going to start using this spray from today onwards, so expect its full review on my blog soon. I wish they sent a full-sized version of this product to me instead of a facial cleansing pad!!

This calming spritz is infused with a cocktail of 100% pure essential oils, including lavender, chamomile, vetiver and patchouli. It’s clinically proven to help you sleep quicker than usual and wake up feeling refreshed. Spritz a fine mist over your pillow and breathe in deeply-you’ll soon be in the land of nod.

Price & Qty: GBP 19.50 for 75ml (full-size product). I received a 5ml sample-sized spray.

Percy & Reed Eau My Goodness No-Fuss Fabulousness Dry Shampoo:

Another product that I am going to gift to my sister! I don’t use dry shampoo. I don’t like dry shampoo!! I have thin hair and I prefer washing my hair with regular shampoo than using a dry shampoo, be it winter or summer. However, I get it! Dry shampoos come handy while travelling or say when we are sick and can’t wash our hair. But even at that time too, I’d skip dry shampoos. In 2018, I bought Batiste floral-scented dry shampoo on a whim which I used only a couple of times and didn’t like the effect. Since then I stopped using the dry shampoos!

Anyway, Percy & Reed Eau My Goodness No-fuss Fabulousness Dry Shampoo’s unique formula contains ultra-fine cornflour which absorbs excess oil without leaving a residue in your hair, so you can say goodbye to white streaks. It is ideal for those “in-between’ days. This volumising dry shampoo gives a little life to roots and hair a freshly-washed look with just a few spritzes.

Price: GBP 6 (Travel size)

NBAM Rating: 4.5/5

To be honest, I am not much happy with this month’s box. Except for pink lip balm and pillow spray, none quite impressed me!! I hope I’ll get some exciting stuff inside the Birchbox, next month.
See you soon 💗
